Restored

Wondering how this beauty came to be?

Something Old, Some Blue Dressers?

Moving on a budget meant that we would take any free furniture we could get our hands on.  Thankfully, Matt's grandparents had these dressers from their parents that they were no longer using.  Our parents just saw old dressers... I saw the new showcases of our bedroom!  We were glad to be able to keep them in the family!

All we needed was some new hardware, eco-friendly paint, and a little elbow grease and they're good as new!

Craft to Kitchen

Here's another budget-friendly furniture item! This kitchen set was given to us by Matt's neighbors, who used it as a kids craft table.  It works perfectly in our little kitchen!

Repurposed

Reclaimed Oak Board

I found this amazing old piece of antique oak at local Pittsburgh antique store that they used as a shelf.  So I cut it to size and bought some cool legs off of Etsy and we had an entryway bench...

I also found this cool giant Edison Bulb light from another local shop, but had no way to hang it, until I remembered the leftover wood from the bench project!

Regent Beverages Turned Kale Garden

I bought this old crate from a local shop in Pittsburgh.  It used to transport sodas, now it's growing my favorite greens!

Rebuilt

New Railing

My parents asked me to rebuild the railing for the back steps and this is what I came up with! Thank goodness for miter saws, that's all I'm saying.

Redesigned

A Big Girl Room

I recently redesigned my childhood bedroom!  We had just redone the floors and ceilings, so it was perfect timing.  Before, it was a total mess.  You'll have to take my word for it.

An Adult Apartment

Here are some pictures of my apartment, which I'm still not done designing!
